Doctors for Extinction Rebellion: Rita Issa

Dr Rita Issa is an Academic Clinical Fellow in General Practice and co-founder of Doctors for Extinction Rebellion. Her research is focused on migration and climate change, and draws from previous experience working with Médecins Sans Frontières and the World Health Organisation. As a clinician she is training at the Bromley-by-Bow centre, the birthplace of social prescribing. She is currently excited about building a movement of health professionals in anticipation of COP26, and how community building can be harnessed as a response and antidote to the climate crisis.
