Great tide rising: Kathleen Dean Moore

 

Kathleen Dean Moore is a philosopher, writer, and climate activist. Formerly Distinguished Professor of Environmental Ethics at Oregon State University, she left her position to write and speak full-time about the moral urgency of climate action. A prize-winning author or editor of fourteen books, her most recent are Moral Ground, Great Tide Rising, and Piano Tide, a novel. Two new books are forthcoming in 2021, one about the collusion of governments and fossil-fuel industries, Axis of Betrayal: How Fracking Violates Human Rights, and a book celebrating all the creatures who sing, Earth’s Wild Music.
